Having my brain picked by a swell yet strange kid…

By Shawn Robare

I was recently interviewed by Rondal Scott of the incredibly cool Strange Kids Club, and it was a heck of a lot of fun.  Rondal’s site is chock full of enlightening interviews with all sorts of cool people, not to mention a bevy of other regular features like his columns on cartoons (called (Re)Animations) and classic wrestling (called Saturday Night’s Main Event.)  So do yourself a favor and head on over to the Strange Kids Club, you’ll be glad you did!

Great interview, Shawn. That site is nice. I’ve added it to my Google Reader. Thanks for the shout out in the interview. I feel the same about you. You talk about and dissect things in ways that I find totally interesting. And it’s cool pop culture stuff that even I don’t think about. You bring a great point of view to nostalgia and pop culture. Plus, it was through you I rediscovered the Crestwood House Monster books. That alone gives you my undying loyalty. By the way, I still would like us to work on something together. A double article maybe or something else. We’ve talked about it before, but it’s been crazy for me this year what with the baby coming so I haven’t been able to approach this again. I also know you’ve been busy lately doing a bunch of stuff. What do you think? You in? Bring the combined might of the Cavalcade and Branded together to rock the collective face off the blogosphere? Let me know. Again, thanks for the shout out, man. Pax

Yeah, that unofficial movie trilogies was a great idea. I think I’ve got that article partially written too. When do you want to try to do this?

  • Rondal

Just wanted to thank you both to the “”nth degree”” (that’s one more than “”mth”” in case you were counting) for your feedback on the interview. Now if only we had a real treehouse…

Shawn, in my head I answered you about the trilogy article. But I see here I didn’t. Haha. Yeah, that sounds great. I need to refine what I have anyway since I wrote it months ago (I think we started talking about this around Halloween last year). Let’s start working on the articles and check back in a few weeks.
